Corvo Discovery

Corvo Island is the smallest island of the Azores Archipelago (17 km²) and together with the neighboring island of Flores, form the Western Group.Despite its small size, this island has the only Caldeira of the Western group, commonly known as Caldeirão. This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful landscapes of the Azores and deserves to be seen and enjoyed by all.

Therefore, with this product, we help those interested in visiting Corvo Island by scheduling their boat trip, which in itself is already an unforgettable adventure.
Note: This trip only occurs with a minimum of six passengers, but during the summer occurs every day.

Description

Departing from one of the ports(poças or boqueirão) in Santa Cruz(Flores Island), the skipper heads north along side the Northeast coast of Flores Island where you will enjoy viewing waterfalls, islets and will enter magnificent caves that will make the boat ride memorable. After these beautiful sites, we head to Corvo Island (approximately 40 minutes) where dolphins and even whales can sometimes be seen.

Once you arrive in Corvo, on the port await nine-seat vans that will bring visitors to view the majestic Caldeirão, with about 3.5 km of perimeter and a depth of approximately 300m. This site encompasses the highest point of the island, called the “Morro dos Homens.”

Once you arrive at this location, you can take in all the beautiful nature that surrounds you while filling your cameras with photos of this amazing scenery. If you want to get even closer you can walk the walking trails (just follow the yellow and red marks). You can ask the driver to pick you up later. When you return, you may finish the tour through the village of Corvo by visiting the beach, the windmills or by visiting the cafe to socialize and refresh your soul.
